My name is Jacob and I run Exodus Knife & Tool and Beachin Tactical. As a Combat Vet from the 173rd Airborne, I learned a lot about what gear worked, and what was a gimmick.
I hope to continue to grow through training and practice in both the tactical venue as well as survival, to give an honest and balanced set of reviews and tutorials for the well rounded prepper.

ManO'War. Lol. I haven't heard them in years.
Wow I always knew that he was a clown but that dude is a total douche.
These are awesome 👌 I lost my favorite one last year in the river on a pack rafting trip it was a blast though!!!✊️🔥✌️💚
$165??!! 😂
Do you think you could design it, buy the materials to make it, make it yourself, sell it, and make enough profit to feed your family for less?
I've had my Charter arms explorer since 1977, still works well! Other than the barrel being somewhat more flimsy, I can expect my Henry AR-7 to last that long also. Footnote: I have been shooting guns since 1967, and i can say unequivocally: if what you want is a gun built like a tank, just get a good old Mosin or Mauser.
Guns last a long time on the shelf
How true, build for your self or friend, because unless you have experienced what it takes to build you would not appreciate it.
In his own words... "They say within thirty years, white people are going to be a minority. I'm looking forward to it." - Joe Rogan "I see a lot of these f**king young white kids and they're just running to get free Nike's. I've watched about a hundred videos of people looting.... I might have seen four black people. It's all these white kids stealing sneakers, and that's really what's going on." - Joe Rogan "I'll tell the government right now, tell you right now if you're listening... I'm available. Okay, if you show me all the real [UFO] wreckage... I swear to God I'll make fun of that crap till the end of time. I'll make up stories...I'll lie to my mother. I don't care... you show me a UFO... I'll lie to my mother." - Joe Rogan
Yup, 100% propaganda source.
You make your blades Jacob absolutely ceirous as to how your hardning them thanks great blades.

I once bought an RD6 , when it came in, it had a totally bend tip. Crazy. How's that for quality control.. Do they pack their knives for shipping with their eyes closed? Also, even a blind person would notice the bend tip.
They were notorious for stuff like that.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors And that can be prevented quite easy. Their heat treat was hit and miss. I remember quite a few RTAK II' s breaking back then. I think they went from 1095 to 5160 steel to prevent this . The Junglas has the 1095 also. But do they have many breaking? Aside from Joe X chopping into a big stone..
@Ve-suvius no the junglas doesn't have a track record of issues. Okc was just horribly, HORRIBLY mismanaged.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors I agree... It could have had class, it could stand out among the best.
Did some knife testing in the Wallowa Mountains last weekend. Put the Ontario RD6, RD9 and BK9 through some work. Still impressed with the RD6 and RD9. Not impressed with the BK9.
My bk9 has some damage. I need to wrap up it's review
Cool idea man! I have some Multicam pants that are insect repellent 🚫🪳
Remember they are only insect repelled for so long. When we were issued those I believe they said it was effective for up to 3 months and 9 washes.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors good to know man! I will reapply 😉
I was using them and they were completely full every season for around six years. This year I don’t have a single mosquito in any. Something changed.
Maybe that's why they got sued 🤔
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors yep, sadly. But the did work. My traps were black mosquito sludge.
@@TheGreatConstantini I guess we need to find out who is actually making working traps now.
SICK AF!!!✊️🔥✌️💚
😂LOLOL ✊️🔥✌️💚
I may be biased but the best unaltered camo I’ve seen used in multiple environments is woodland marpat. In the desert, I saw the guys in desert marpat before I saw the woodlands because a little bit of sand on the cammies lets them blend in with the little bit of brush in the background. The deserts and salty cammies stand out at eye level. Multicam as a base is just obvious from what I can tell. Most environments offer enough shade in the backdrop that the light colors just pop. Even in pictures I’ve seen you’re like “wow he looks badass” instead of “where is he?”.
You are looking at pictures of people wearing fresh multicam- Pictures that are edited to make the person wearing them because they are an influencer who is trying to sell things to you.
This is a good ass workout
That looks like a great Outdoors, Camp, Fixed Blade. :-) I absolutely luv my OKC Blades; they were a great US Company that gave us affordable, US, Budget Blades. And, I hope the Company continues, like Cold Steel did, with GSM. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
I love budget weapons but psa qc sucks, and I hate psa because of the way they handled my qc problem. Months went by and I had to involve the bbb to make it right.
I've seen one or two videos by this guy. I consider him a mud slinger. He likes to talk trash about other people/channels/products without supplying much substance. Best ignored!
Agreed
I think pink would bring out your eyes. I love my canvas pack, Love my canvas tarp, I love my canvas bag. But the reason is I am not going 10 or 20 clicks into the damn woods. I am going 1-4 clicks and that is it. I am there to camp and chill. Not sweat my balls off and prove something to someone who don't care.
I dont even know whats going on lol
America ruined because of the Scofield Bible
I feel ya bro but I'd have a heat stroke.
I don't celebrate ANY Jewish holiday's including this one. The Jewish slave trade brought them here and only 3% of people in the South owned slaves. Free blacks owned slaves, Indians owned slaves and a large percentage of Jews owned slaves. Perpetual victimhood is killing this country.
I have a yardsale plumb usa carpenters hatchet I picked up 15 years ago for 5 bucks at a yardsale and I use regularly which has better geometry and I would bet better steel for the purpose than the hard-core hammers hatchet.
A yardsale plumb is a great way to go!!!
I think the value aspect is more important to a person who is going to use the axe on a regular basis. Especially in the knife market there are many collectors who would never use or sharpen certain knives but are willing to pay quite a bit of money with the thought that if it isn't used they can resell it down the road in like new condition. If you plan to use, sharpen, and eventually wear out a knife or an axe the price is important over the life of the tool but so are things like cutting geometry and ease of sharpening, and replacement cost if lost or destroyed in the line of duty. I use 95% of my stuff so I typically look for the least expensive tool that is pleasant to use, easy to carry, and comes easy to sharpen. I don't want to have to completely regrind something before I use it but I prefer to do the initial sharpening on the axe because I have found that many axes which arrive sharp have had the temper compromised from the heat of a grinder on the extremely thin steel at the apex of a sharp edge. I'm sure some of the really expensive axes are stone ground or at least polished by someone who understands steel and keeps the overheating to a minimum, but I use hatchets and axes fairly often and I am not overly gentle with them as I can easily sharpen, repair, carve and hang a new handle if needed and I am not concerned with cosmetics. I agree with you about heat treatment and steel a quality steel and an appropriate hardness are right there with geometry as the most important things I look for when deciding on what I want to buy and what I want to use.
Have rd6 and rd9 absolutely love them "after making kydex sheaths reprofiled handle on 6 purchased tkc grips for 9 night and day for a better Moore room grip and convexed just like your buds knife, anyhow they are both a beast ltr Ps my thumbnail is the rd9 with sheath I made
Emo people 😂 agreed but I koved from Ky. To an island in SC so sun hoodies are clutch, weed eating exposes all the oils and does the same to me brother….
It's always good to have clothes that have sun protection, my son has one he purchased for Bass Pro but up until now I had no idea it worked as a sun blocker. 👍
I forgot to tell you, Jacob that I gave my oldest a Brickcraft Special Edition (Red Sheath) for his birthday. (I ordered 2, kept one.) He LOVES that knife. He especially loves the EOD etching. My son served with the 819th Sapper Squad around 2012 with Triple Nickel. They had a 73% injury rate, no fatalities. Thanks for sharing your insights.
From a branding perspective, OKC really screwed the pooch. They have an exceptionally long row to hoe if they want to continue using the OKC name AND have people making positive associations with their name. Personally, I'd rather see RAT/ESEE flourish and OKC go away. Sad but true. In a nutshell: OKC = Trash/Drama vs RAT/ESEE = Quality/Awesome Sometimes, things of historical significance need to stay in the past. How's fatherhood treating you, Jacob? You don't look too exhausted. :))
I don't necessarily disagree... But the name does still have a lot of pull... Hhmmmm ill have to think about that. It's been great!!! Very busy but I'll be cranking kids out for the next 5 or so years so it's about time to get used to it!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors If OKC can exist without anyone from its less than stellar past, then maybe. I do think that OKC does have historical significance. The problem is creating consistent quality, demonstrating a sincere desire to improve and be responsive to the customer. Trading on a name is no longer enough. There are too many great companies out there that can fill that void left by the old OKC. While its name escapes me at the moment, there's a young upstart company that makes a great little knife specifically designed for killing the Easter Bunny. :)
@InGratitudeIam oh there will be nobody from the original lineup. Everyone was fired and equipment sold. So if they do crank back up it will be a fresh slate. Easter bunnies beware! 🤣🤣🤣
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Under those circumstances, I can definitely get behind OKC v2 (or whatever version it turns out to be).

Hahaaaaaaa it's not a mosquito trap hahaaaa you had the time to read make a video but definitely missed to read it is not a trap aka not supposed to attract and catch mosquitoes for you hahaaaaa. I use it in my house works more to repell them not trap them. 😂
Ironic that it specifically states not to use it in your house. They need to hire better trolls.
@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors when I say my house! I don't mean my leaving room or kitchen. I have it strapped on the fence at my house n it works for me. Highlight it's not supposed to catch and collect mosquitoes in the tube.
@@Maitable yup, it specifically says not to do that right on the tube because it's supposed to ATTRACT mosquitos. Good job 👏🏻

I had no idea what turkey mites were until we visited natural bridge in Kentucky. 😅 For some reason we don't have them in Ohio...
It's better not knowing. Lol
We can be scientific as we want. We can brag about what we want. We can talk hoity toity about knives all day long. The bottom line is action, not words or study. The knife will either perform under extremes, or it will fail. Sorry fanboys, but physics rules…
Physics does rule- Ergo the scientific side of the discussion lol
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors well, to that degree yes. You are right. My main point is even though we talk about them, study them and all the rest…it’s the knife that’s going to be the one that performs or fails. All the talk and fanboys in the world can’t change that.
@darksideofthemoon7332 well I reckon I agree. Being a nerd I want to dive into why things do or don't work and I certainly put in the work- But yeah there is a whole knife industry vibe of dorks talking about knife performance who only cut packing tape so 🤷♂️
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors exactly! Nothing wrong with these extreme tests and taking valuable constructive criticism and feedback back to the manufacturers to create an even better blade. That is why the knife community needs a JoeX in my opinion.
Agreed!
i love those hoodies. i dont have to feel like slime with sunscreen, dirt, and dust. already wear hoodies 9 months out of the year, and these hoodies are perfect for the other 3 months
